Live off the Floor is a series of full-on, sweaty, impromptu rock n’ roll shows with big bands in the smallest of rooms.  Performers that fill large venues, playing a space no larger than your bedroom – the front lobby of the Toronto Institute for the Enjoyment of Music, a TINY music school in the heart of Queen Street West in Toronto.  The bands play literally on the floor making the line between performer and audience virtually indiscernible; a truly unforgettable, “had to be there” moment.

In partnership with Steam Whistle and Scion, Live off the Floor vol 1 was launched July 29, 2011 featuring Toronto’s freshest bands: Teenage Kicks, Modern Superstitions, and Paradise Animals.

Teenage Kicks deserve to be huge. Peter Van Helvoort writes great songs full of melodies and hooks, while every member of the band delivers their part with enthusiasm and style.
