“If you’ve listened to a record or gone to a show this year, there’s a good chance you heard Aaron Goldstein — even if you didn’t know it. Goldstein has spent the last several years establishing himself as one of the most prolific and versatile session musicians in the country.” -Alex MacPherson
Aaron Goldstein is a musician and producer based in Toronto, Ontario. As a pedal steel guitarist he has become one of the country’s busiest side musicians, having toured and/or recorded with City and Colour, Daniel Romano & The Trilliums, Lee Harvey Osmond, Bry Webb (of the Constantines), Elliott Brood, Cowboy Junkies, and Matt Mays. His recording operations are based out of Candle Recording in Toronto’s West end, where he has produced numerous titles for young Canadian acts. Aaron is known as a creatively involved producer who believes strongly that his responsibility is to the material. He prefers analog tools in the studio and often records to tape. As his name continues to grow in musician’s circles, Aaron is consistently asked to lend his talents to records from all over the world, which he records from his Toronto studio. He’s appeared on records from the likes of Arkells, the Sadies, Junior Boys, and countless others.
